ATHERTON Collieries' lack of punch up front was highlighted again when they went down 1-0 at home to Curzon Ashton.
With both teams at the wrong end of the table chances were at a minimum, but ex-Colls player Nicky Fisher came on as substitute half way through the second half to get the all important goal. That makes it three games on the trot that Colls have failed to score, since leading striker Greg Brickell moved to Ramsbotton United.
This weekend sees them in action at Alder House again, when Northern League side Dunston Federation Brewery are the visitors in the FA Vase.
