A WORRIED dog owner is appealing for help to find her missing pet, which could die without access to medication.
Debra Plane, of Branch Road, Burnley Wood, says 12-year-old Scampi takes tablets for a heart condition every day and occasionally has fits, which she has been taught how to deal with.
She said Yorkshire terrier Scampi and her daughter, six-year-old Candy, were 'like family' and their photographs are scattered throughout her home.
Scampi went missing from Branch Road between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Monday and police have been informed of her disappearance.
Debra said: "I can barely eat or sleep because I'm so worried about Scampi and Candy is definitely pining for her mum.
"I have three children of my own but these dogs are as precious to me as family. I know how to look after Scampi and I am worried she won't survive if someone tries to sell her."
Anyone with information about Scampi can call Debra on 07956 212319.
