JUST back from a 4,000 mile adventure, newsagent Vinod Bawa is planning a charity goal to ride his bike to every European capital.
Re-adjusting to life behind the counter after his three week continental jaunt the 47-year-old Leigh shopkeeper has magnificent memories of the journey with a group of motorcyling friends.
Motor cycle enthusiast Vinod rode his his 1,000cc Suzuki V-Strom through several countries during the three week journey. The riders soaked up the sights of France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Venice as they swung through twisting Alpine passes and Italy's beautiful vineyards.
And despite sampling a range of exquisite local delicacies, Mr Bawa couldn't wait to get back home to have a traditional English breakfast.
The Railway Road newsagent told the Journal: "Some of the scenery was breathtaking. I loved going through the Alps, the roads were twisting and had so many narrow bends -- the kind of roads I was looking to ride on during my trip.
Now, Mr Bawa plans to embark on a charity motor cycle ride next summer to every European capital.
And he is looking to raise money for a children's charity. Contact Vinod at bikerbawa@speed-mail.co.uk
