DELROY Facey has hinted he would look to swap reserve team football at Bolton for a longer contract with Burnley.
The Wanderers striker is enjoying a slice of the high life at Turf Moor after finding himself on the fringes of Sam Allardyce's cosmopolitan squad at the Reebok.
And Facey, now half way through his initial one-month loan with the Clarets, would happily stick around for longer, rather than sink back into Sam Allardyce's second string.
Facey, 23, said: "At the end of the day it's not in my hands. I know the manager has people coming to watch Gareth Farrelly and myself and it's all up to him.
"If he wants me back at Bolton, then I'm a professional footballer and a Bolton player and I will have to go back.
"If I am going to go back there and be playing first team football, then fair enough. If not, I know the gaffer here is keen to keep me on and I will happily stick it out at Burnley."
Facey, whose fate also depends on whether Bolton look to extend Glen Little's loan spell, wowed Clarets fans with an impressive home debut in Tuesday's 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
But the former Huddersfield striker is all-too aware he has not found the target in his three starts - and knows he needs a goal to really ignite his loan spell.
Facey added: "I feel like I'm finally settling here. That was the third game of my loan spell and I'm just disappointed that I haven't made their keeper work.
"But that's going to come. I think I am getting into the positions and if I can just convert the chances I get it will be good for me and Burnley Football Club.
"If you are winning you are not too bothered about scoring, but if not then people look at the strikers. I look at it as missed opportunities and the fact I could make a difference.
"I've had a chat with Ronnie Jepson and he said as long as I am getting in there and pulling the trigger it will come.
"I just have to keep plugging away and one will end up in the back of the net."
Facey, whose goalscoring exploits first attracted the attention of Bolton, added: "The confidence is there and that's down to the lads here giving me that support.
"They have told me to keep going and hopefully I can help turn performances into results.
"We can have no complaints at the last two defeats, but it will come right soon. It's just a matter of working hard to put things right and hopefully that will happen against Bradford tomorrow."
