ATHERTON LR U12 bounced back from a defeat to grab a 6-4 win at Bolton County.
LR took the lead inside two minutes when good work from Sam Halligan and David Jackson led to Matty Jackson scoring.
Jackson rounded the keeper to make it 2-0 and when his shot came back off the woodwork, Callam Walshe was on hand to make it three.
Bolton pulled two goals back just before half time and equalised immediately after the break. Jackson's hat-trick goal restored LR's lead but again Bolton came back to draw level.
Jackson's fourth goal and a debut effort from Joshua Oakes put the game out of Bolton's reach.
The U14s beat Captain's Lane 8-2 with goals from Boxwell (3), Bamford (2), Musso, Anderton and Gore, Man of the match was Waterworth.
LR's U15s beat Westhoughton Rasngers 3-1 with goals from Heaton, Parkinson and Barnes.
