CONTROVERSIAL television pundits Mike Stephenson, from Sky, and BBC's Garry Schofield are taking to the road in special "Mouths of Rugby League" fund-raising events.

Masterminded by Howes Etc., the company recently launched by former top Rugby League official David Howes, the evenings will allow fans to put questions directly to the outspoken duo.

The fund raising element will be boosted by an auction of Rugby League memorabilia by the inimitable Mick Morgan, the former England International packman.

The question-and-answer format will make its debut in aid of the Tommy Martyn Testimonial Fund, at Reubens in Leigh on Tuesday, September 30, in the week of the National League One Grand Final.

Kicking off at 8pm, the benefit show will feature video action of the former St. Helens and Oldham stand off, interviews by Howes with Leigh and St. Helens stars of today and yesteryear, the Q&A session with Stevo and Schoey and Morgy's auction.

Tickets for the adults-only show are priced £5 and are available in advance from Leigh Centurions general office or admission on the door on the night.

Howes explained: "Since we stopped the Sunday Mirror Roadshows over a decade ago after 100 shows raised nearly a quarter of a million pounds for players benefits, we have been inundated with requests to restore and interactive Rugby League show for dedicated fans.

"The Mouths of Rugby League format will allow supporters to question two of the most controversial personalities in the 13-a-side code, while raising funds through admission, a raffle and auction by the ever-popular Mick Morgan."
