LOCAL Euro MP Terry Wynn is calling for a proclamation to be read out by the county's Town Criers reminding people they live in the historic county of Lancashire.
Proud Lancastrian Terry wants Lancashire Day to be celebrated by people from all corners of the county. He is hoping pubs, restaurants and libraries will back him in his mission to bring Lancashire Day -- November 27 -- back on the calendar.
By reminding people that Leigh is still a Lancastrian town even if the maps show different, to celebrate November 27 by raising money for charity, enjoying themselves and enhancing the true identity of historic Lancashire.
"Hopefully the Leigh area can honour the red rose in proud Lancastrian style," said Terry.
