RADCLIFFE Boro have been drawn at home to Oldham Town in the second qualifying round of this season FA Cup, writes Marc Higginson.
The tie has been scheduled for Saturday September 27 as the Stainton Park outfit attempt to embark on another money-spinning run.
Kevin Glendon's men will be hoping they can eclipse previous runs that have seen some of the biggest games in Boro's history played.
Last season's clash with Chester in the final qualifying round captured the public's imagination as did the tussle with York City at Gigg Lane in 2000 when Boro featured in the first round proper for the first and only time in their history.
Oldham are in the North West Counties League Division Two and currently lie fourth bottom.
Boro must start the match as favourites in what is a very favourable draw but bigger clubs than Radcliffe have come unstuck to giantkillers in the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Boro groundsman Alf Padena has been named UniBond Northern Premier League FA Groundsman of the Year.
The award is just rewards for Alf, who received his prize at a ceremony at Windsor Racecourse.
