THERE'S no excuse for anyone travelling down Manchester Road for not knowing who the Shakers' next home opponents are.
Especially now that this new, superb advertising sign has been erected at the junction with Gigg Lane.
The custom designed matchday advertising sign was the brainchild of Forever Bury - Bury FC's supporters' trust - and they, in partnership with club sponsors Bury Metropolitan Council, oversaw the erection of it last week.
One of Forever Bury's main objectives is to promote the club within the community and it has long been thought a sign of this kind has been long overdue on the busy A56.
Trust chairman Jeremy Clegg said: "Because of issues that needed to be addressed the project was only possible with the tremendous help provided by the Council and it's officers.
"In particular the Parks and Countryside Service Department who assisted with sponsorship for the sign's procurement.
"This is a fantastic example of how the Club's main sponsor is helping to increase awareness in the community towards their local football club, we'd like to thank them for their continued support."
