Minutes later Mel Walker's shot shaved the post and it was Sarah Berry who opened the scoring on 14 mins.
PNE had chances but were stifled by the Liverpool defence and goalkeeper. Louise Cafferkey was unlucky not to double the lead when her shot clipped the post.
Sarah Berry slotted home a penalty to double the lead just before half-time.
After the break Louise Cafferkey's header was tipped past the post and Michaela Barlow headed just wide. Barlow got a well deserved goal on 57 mins steering the ball into the corner of the net.
Louise Cafferkey was again unlucky on 60 mins, just failing to chip the 'keeper. PNE were well in control looked to add to their tally.
Within three minutes of Amanda Cummings coming on as substitute she smacked home PNE's fourth. The fifth came after Cafferkey's goalbound free kick from the edge of the box clipped a defender sending the 'keeper the wrong way.
With confidence sky high, PNE were passing the ball with ease and Amanda Cummings got her second, and PNE's sixth, on 82 mins. She nearly got a hat-trick but her diving header went inches past the post.
PNE WFC are away on Sunday to Chorley at Charnock Richard FC.
