BLACKPOOL Stanley's match kicked off over an hour late due to the referee turning up late but it made no difference as they comprehensively beat their opponents Springview, from Wigan, playing some great team football alongside some great individual performances.
First score went to Stanley after a good lead up work by Andy Johnson passing outside to Mick McGinty who then through an inside pass for Neil Fox to score a try converted by Johnson.
A bad mistake by Stanley let Springview in for a converted try to level the scores but with their defence holding firm and having to run up a steep hill it wasn't long before Stanley went in front again after a great pass by Paul Carmody put Mark O'Hara through a gap who then passed to Johnson to score an un-converted try in the corner giving the away side a half-time lead.
From the kick-off more good defence by Stanley forced a drop out from under the posts with Gareth Woodall running from half back beating four men to score a great individual try under the posts converted by Johnson.
The best was yet to come as from the kick-off Darren Holden scythed through the Springview defence to go 70 yards for a try converted by Johnson.
Stanley then relaxed to let Springview in for a converted try, but this was only a minor hiccup after good handling between Woodall and Keith Slater put Carmody in for a converted try.
Then from a set scrum Mark O'Hara burst through the home defence to cap a fine display with a try converted by Johnson.
Springview hit back with two un-converted tries but Stanley were on a roll and after a speculative pass by McGinty thrown inside was snapped up by Fox to score his second try going unconverted. Russ Webster then scored a deserved try after Rick Lomas gave a defence splitting pass for him to stroll over in the corner.
This was the last score of the match and everyone of Blackpool's 17 played their part in a great victory and will go in to next weeks first home game of the season against Widnes ball confident that they can beat anybody.
Springview (Wigan) 20 Blackpool Stanley 42
