NELSON will gain a good indication of their title chances in a cup tie tomorrow.
Currently lying third in North West Counties Division One, they welcome second-placed Maine Road to Victoria Park in the FA Vase second qualifying round.
But manager Dave Hall isn't getting hung up about the opposition as he enjoys his side's current run of form.
Tuesday's 1-0 victory at Cheadle Town was their third away league victory in succession.
Hall said: "It's going extremely well and the players are really performing.
"There's a long way to go but we're doing our jobs. At Cheadle it was a very poor pitch but we looked like a cohesive unit."
Hall has released Craig Whittaker to Colne and Steve Pickup to Darwen in the past week.
