DARWEN have four players missing for their FA Vase second round qualifying clash at Liversedge tomorrow.
Paul Baker and Denny Khan are unavailable, Scott Derbyshire is on holiday while Jimmy Khan has jetted off to Las Vegas after celebrating his 40th birthday on Wednesday.
But manager Steve Wilkes has done his homework on the Huddersfield outfit, after a previous encounter on the night England beat Germany 5-1 in a World Cup qualifier two years ago.
And the Reds will be making the most of their chance to approach the game professionally.
"We're going to travel down on the coach, with all the lads together, stop off on the way for lunch and prepare like a professional club would because we don't get many opportunities to do that," said Wilkes, who is hoping to welcome back Lee Webb after injury.
"The last time we played Liversedge we drew 2-2 away and lost 1-0 at home.
"We had them watched last week and the report we've had back isn't daunting."
Tomorrow could be goalkeeper Rob Batty's last game for Darwen because of work commitments, and Wilkes is set to make a determined effort to bolster his defence by signing a new goalkeeper, which he hopes will help shore up his leaky back line.
