I WRITE in response to Mrs Crabtree's letter (September 12) expressing dissatisfaction at the standard of housekeeping on Ward Six at Fairfield Hospital.

I have to say I cannot agree with her comments.

I have an elderly relative receiving care in Ward Six at this time and I would like to assure readers that she is receiving the highest possible standard of nursing care. She is treated with the utmost kindness and consideration, nothing is too much trouble for nursing and housekeeping staff, and all in spotlessly clean surroundings.

J. WILLIAMS.
