TEENAGERS with a passion for music are being urged to join a project to harness undeveloped talent in the area.
Musician Michael Woodacre, 40, is the man behind the scheme which is currently being run at the YMCA building in Clarence Street, off Preston New Road, Blackburn.
Michael wants musical beginners, between the ages of 13 and 19, to go on weekday evenings and learn more about their instrument, jam with top quality studio equipment and eventually form new bands. He currently has tutors for drums, guitar and bass on separate evenings and even has youngsters MCing and rapping. He also has groups who are practising traditional folk music.
Michael said: "We want to get all types of people to create different types of music and blend it."
If you are interested, contact the YMCA on 01254 51009 or drop in from 6.30pm on a weekday.
