THE owners of Pendle Rise shopping centre in Nelson have reported a strong interest from businesses moving into the area.
The centre is currently undergoing a £2.5million facelift in a bid to attract blue-chip retailers and owners Modus Properties have said they are "delighted" with the interest so far.
The 52-week renovation programme includes new units near the main entrance, landscaping and a children's play area.
Modus managing director Brendan Flood said: "We are delighted to announce that the largest of the new units has been let to Wilkinsons and there is strong interest in the remaining 4,000 sq ft.
"Since acquiring the site we have had great success in bringing national retailers to Pendle Rise."
