TWO working mums have received a lottery windfall to set up an out of school club at a Clitheroe primary school.
Stephanie Zak, 39, of Eastham Street, Clitheroe, and Julie Oliver, 39, of Waddington Road, Clitheroe, have received £10,000 to run the Daisychain Out of School Club at Pendle Primary School.
The club, which opened last week, operates from 3.35pm to 5.45pm on Monday to Friday offering fun activities and learning through play to 27 children aged four to 11.
Part-time staff nurse Stephanie said: Julie and I are both working parents and realised an after-school club was badly needed.
"School hours aren't conducive to holding down a job and there was a high demand among parents for an after-school service.
"We have had an excellent response to the club and people have told us they will now be able to take up jobs because it."
