BACUP made the long trek up to the North East and made hard work of this one-sided FA Vase tie.
Karl Stanley was a thorn in Murton's side with his electrifying direct runs, creating a host of chances which the visitors failed to capitalise on.
Scott Gilchrist could have given Bacup an early lead, but the Murton keeper was equal to it, then Anderson was put through on goal but his shot went well over the bar.
On 35 minutes, Stanley won the ball and sprinted forward before playing the ball into space for Gray to attack. The keeper closed him down but Gray finished well.
Bacup had chances in the second half but one goal proved to be enough.
