CURTAIN RAISER has helped the Oswaldtwistle Players cast their new play Theft just five weeks before the opening night.
With time running out and a shortage of men hampering proceedings, the players placed an appeal in the Evening Telegraph for new members.
They were delighted when the experienced Peter Wood came forward as a result of their plea and is now playing one of three male roles.
Director Bill Walker is playing the leading role Spriggs, while the rest of the cast are Clare Highton, Katie Birtles and Derek Partlin.
Tickets are now available for the production from Accrington Town Hall, Oswaldtwistle Post Office and Elmwood Home Care on Dutton Street, Accrington. Tickets cost £6 (£5 concessions).
The play is being performed from October 22 to October 25 at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre.
