WELCOME to my first contribution. My aim is to bring reviews and recommendations of local amateur theatre, but remember I'm only one voice and my opinion may differ from audiences'.
The season has already kicked off and my first viewing was Babes in Arms at the Pendle Hippodrome performed by the Pendle Hippodrome Youth Theatre.
This was a super evening and I left the theatre humming the songs and very entertained. The growing talent in this area within youth groups has to be applauded.
Babes in Arms is essentially a musical comedy about a group of young apprentices learning their trade in the theatre in America in the 1950s - it's ideal for this age group.
Look out for the following names in the future - Lisa Patel, Richard Plummer, Jessica Foxley, Katy Oliver, Holly Lynch and Arron Jones. All worthy of a mention.
