BURY North MP David Chaytor will deliver a keynote speech during a Clearing the Air -- North West Clean Air Public Transport conference in Manchester on Wednesday.
The event will explore the issues surrounding air quality and the critical role public transport plays in reducing air pollution.
Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority and Merseytravel are leading the charge to improve air quality in the North West. The jointly hosted conference is taking place to demonstrate a regional consensus on actions needed to improve air quality.
New air quality initiatives for Greater Manchester and Merseyside will be launched and delegates will be given a glimpse of the future for clean air technologies.
