SHAKERS chairman Albert Doweck insists Bury can haul themselves back into the promotion battle.
The team he took over during the summer have slumped after a promising start, with two consecutive defeats sending them plummeting into the lower reaches of Division Three, just three points above the relegation zone.
But Doweck remains laid back and claimed consistency was the key to setting their season back on track.
"We are not far away from being a decent team," he said.
"At the moment, though, we are too up and down. We are consistently inconsistent.
"But there have been a few plusses. The goalkeeper has been fantastic, for example. And I'm sure the fans have enjoyed the football more this season."
