SCUNTHORPE manager Brian Laws will be acutely aware of the threat that Burnley present after the two clubs had differing fortunes this weekend.
While the Clarets were cracking four goals past Bradford City in the first division, the Division Three side saw a point go to waste as they took a 1-1 draw from Leyton Orient.
However, the Iron had led through Richard Kell and it was only in the dying moments that the Londoners snatched a point with a last minute equaliser.
Laws was critical of how his defence surrendered those points and will be making the point firmly before the Clarets clash.
"We should make our 18 yard box like a den," said Laws.
"No one should get a sniff of the ball in there, let alone have time to turn and shoot.
"I've told the players not to think that they were unlucky, because we got exactly what we deserved after they switched off.
"I believe the players thought they had won the game and were just clock-watching.
"To me with ten seconds to go you should still be pulling your sleeves up to have a go and die for the cause."
Laws could well have to review his rearguard before the Clarets clash due to injuries.
Mark Jackson had to be taken off with an ankle injury and Lee Ridley missed the trip to London due to a neck problem, though he could return to the side tonight.
