THE information by Lancashire police on the sites for the mobile speed cameras (LET, September 13) was not worth the paper it was written on. What a waste of trees!
We all know the real reason for the cameras. The last thing is road safety. The first thing is revenue, revenue revenue.
OK, so I have been done by the 'money machine' in Great Harwood.
And while I accept that the police may not know what day it is, your article said that a camera would be on Hyndburn Road, Accrington, on the following Wednesday. It was there on Tuesday.
Is this misinformation, an error, or were they there every day that week?
It is a pity that they are not as efficient at catching the real criminals instead of the motorist.
JEFF TAYLOR, Pendle Road, Great Harwood.
Footnote: A police spokesman said: "We reserve the right to man a small number of additional sites on a given day if we see fit."
