CYCLISTS of all abilities can enjoy a slow-paced guided ride from Nelson on Saturday.
The route, which contains no steep hills, has been designed to cater for riders of all ages and abilities to show cycling is an ideal form of transports as well as healthy.
Riders will go from Seedhill Athletics Track, in Surrey Road, along the canal towpath and Pennine Cycleway to Towneley Hall, where there will be a refreshment stop before the return journey.
The ride, organised by Pennine Events with the Pendle Cycle Forum with support from Fox's Cycles, will be led by experienced cyclists from Pendle Forest Cycling Club who can also offer cycling advice and support.
Mark Sandamas of Pennine Events said: "There are lots of great places to cycle in East Lancashire, many of which don't involve long hill climbs. These rides give everybody the opportunity to get out and enjoy our local environment.
"We hope the rides will encourage people to get out their bikes and join in."
Cyclists should wear helmets and meet at the track at 1pm. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
