THERE are just a few days left to nominate potential winners for our Pride of East Lancashire Campaign.
Our hunt for the area's greatest achievers and unsung heroes is drawing to a close but there is still time to put pen to paper.
This campaign is about showcasing the hard work, heroic actions and dedication of thousands of individuals and organisations in East Lancashire.
We know there are people out there who go above and beyond the call of duty every single day -- but we need your help to find them.
Do you know a teacher who works outside their normal hours to offer support to pupils struggling with a particular subject? Or one who spends their spare time helping with an after school club?
Perhaps you are a pupil whose teacher has gone out of their way to help you. Then let us know.
Do you know of a member of the emergency services who has continually done more than most in their daily work? Maybe you have been helped by a nurse or doctor who has visited you out of hours. Do you know of a young person, under 16, who freely gives their spare time to help others or carry out fundraising activities?
These are just some examples of the people we want to hear about.
We believe East Lancashire has a great deal to be proud of and we want to shout about it from the rooftops but you have to let us know if there are cases which ought to be highlighted.
If a colleague, friend, relative -- or even you -- have saved someone's life, don't be shy and send us the details.
Nominations can be made at www.thisislancashire.co.uk or by completing one of the coupons on page 50 of tonight's Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
All you have to do is give us contact details for yourself and the nominee as well as a short explanation of why they should win. We'll do the rest.
There are 11 categories with prizes to the value of £3,000 each.
Individual winners will walk away with a £2,000 holiday and £1,000 cash, while organisations will receive £3,000 to invest in their project.
Nominations must be received by September 30.
