A SALESMAN almost three-and-a-half times the limit has lost his job and his driving licence after a 'moment of madness.'
Charity worker Paul Cullen, 31, of Sefton Street, Brierfield, admitted driving with excess alcohol. Burnley Magistrates imposed a two-year drive ban, a £250 fine and ordered him to pay £55 costs.
Andy Robinson, said police followed the defendant in Burnley, as he accelerated.
The lower of two breath tests revealed 120 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath -- the legal limit is 35. Cullen had no previous convictions.
Mark Williams, defending, said Cullen had been driving 25,OOO miles a year and previously had an exemplary driving record. His behaviour had been a moment of madness and Cullen could give no explanation why he did it.
