THE barrier at Lord Grove, Hindsford was not designed to be erected on a pavement. Both Cllr Mark Aldred and Cllr Robert Bleakley agree it is not appropriate.
Residents of Lord Grove have no objection to a safe barrier but this one is not pedestrian friendly. People are forced to go through a five feet high and 13 inches wide steel man trap.
Someone is going to crack their head on the steel stanchions . A serious accident is waiting to happen. Are the powers that be so dogmatic they are prepared to let that happen rather than admit to one hell of a cock-up.
Come on, someone have the guts to remove this dangerous obstruction before it is too late.
Bill Wintle,
Lord Grove,
Hindsford.
