I'M really pleased that the goals are finally going in for Luke Chadwick.
Chadders had a few chances at Burnley when I was still there and they hadn't been going in.
But once you get one it just starts going for you.
It's great for Chadders. He's doing well and I'm pleased for him. I played with him when we were both on loan at Reading at the end of last year so I knew he'd be a good signing.
I must admit I was a bit surprised that Burnley signed him but I was enjoying playing with him and it's great to see him doing well while I'm not there.
It might not seem obvious that we can play in the same team but we are different players, yet we can both play on either side, which is the way the gaffer is looking at it.
Chadders got another on Tuesday when Burnley beat Scunthorpe in the Carling Cup, and the way football is now, a cup run is even more important than the league.
I know that might sound daft because everybody considers the league to be the most important thing that you play in week-in and week-out but last season's experience has taught me differently.
Last season it turned right round for us because we weren't involved in the league so we could really concentrate on the cups and the money was a big help. And it would be even more of a help this year.
Now the big clubs are coming into the Carling Cup and Burnley will be looking for a big draw like we had last season.
It was the first time since I joined the club that we provided the shocks instead of us being on the end of them. I can remember us losing to Scunthorpe and Rushden and Diamonds, but that was when we were way up in the league and concentrating on that a bit more.
Last season it was very different and we got a great result against Tottenham and were unlucky to lose to Man United.
Some teams don't take the Carling Cup that seriously, which is up to them, so it's good that Burnley have got a couple of results in it because teams like Arsenal and Man United don't put out strong sides so you can always get a few upsets.
Mind you, you could always get a team like Huddersfield and Blackpool at home in the draw, which should then set you up nicely to make more progress, so you'd be happy with that too.
The way things are going now, with us being in mid-table and going along nicely and with the new loan signings, the money should help keep the squad together.
As for me, I'm back training but was cup-tied last night when Bolton played Walsall so I'm hoping to get involved for the weekend.
The Wolves game will be the last one of my loan spell so I'm hoping something can get sorted out.
It's been frustrating but hopefully I can sign off with a win for Bolton on Saturday and then go form there.
The gaffer has spoken to Sam Allardyce but I haven't heard anything since last week so I'll know more when my last game is out of the way.
