WITH the club's first team game postponed Hindsford's second team travelled to Irlam MS in the first round of the Open Trophy.
The early part of the game was evenly matched with Hindsford coming closest to scoring when a Matt Toone effort was deflected for a corner, however, Irlam's attacking play was sharp and they scored two excellent goals following spells of Hindsford possession.
Hindsford continued to play open football and created numerous chances but Irlam were always dangerous in attacking play and scored at regular intervals to finish 7-0 winners.
