A MAN has appeared in court charged with unlawful wounding after an attack in Leigh.
Andrew Diamond of Belshill Court, Rochdale, pleaded not guilty at Bolton Crown Court to a charge of wounding with intent, but entered a guilty plea to a charge of unlawful wounding after an assault on June 22 of this year.
Diamond was bailed pending pre-sentencing and psychiatric reports, and will appear again on November 3 to be sentenced.
A bail condition is that he does not go near Fairhurst Street in Leigh.
