LANCASTER CITY 4 RADCLIFFE BOROUGH 2: Boro turned in an inept defensive performance and only two late goals gave the scoreline a look of respectability.
Ironically Boro looked the better team for long passages of the game, but they fell behind after 27 minutes after dominating the earlier play.
Phil Clarkson was left unmarked to open Lancaster's account, and Farrell Kilbane added a second in the 34th minute heading home unchallenged from a corner.
A penalty needlessly conceded three minutes before half time gave Tony Sullivan the chance to add a third, after Danny Hurst had parried his spot kick, and Sullivan made it four seven minutes after the break.
Boro were rewarded for their efforts when Jody Banin pulled one back with 10 minutes remaining and Chris Denham reduced the arrears further with an 84th minute header, but the damage had been done with that earlier horror defensive display.
