REGARDING the Mind Centre in Blackburn whose future is said to be in the balance (LET, September 20), I rely on the place. It is a lifeline and is important to me.
It has been a good support as I suffer from anxiety/depression -- knowing that staff are there who can give assistance and advice.
From time to time, they have also helped me cope with difficult personal and social problems, with bad housing problems (much better now) and also sometimes with paperwork.
I also value the company of the other people who go there.
I may have gone two days or more without speaking to anyone, so it is a relief to go to the Mind Centre and be with others like myself.
