IT WON'T be long before Paul Bailey has more trophies than he can flex his muscles at.
For the 20-year-old from Whitefield has just won the Junior British title in a national bodybuilding competition.
His latest achievement adds to four other trophies he has won in as many months.
And considering this is his first season competing Paul, of Cromwell Road, is rightly proud of his performance.
A former Philips High School pupil, Paul has just completed an advanced diploma in sports therapy at Bury College and works out at Silvers gym in Bury.
He has trained hard all year and went on a strict diet for 10 weeks before the under-21s contest in Edinburgh.
Competing against bodybuilders from all over the country, Paul was amazed to do so well in the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation's (BNBF) British Championship.
Paul, pictured celebrating with his latest trophy, said: "I beat the favourite, a Scottish guy, who was said to be a possible future professional. I couldn't believe it when I won. It still hasn't sunk in."
He added: "I found the dieting very hard, and had lots of ups and downs, but winning has made it all worthwhile."
Paul thanked his pals at Silvers gym for their help in preparing him for the event and is now on the look-out for a job as a fitness instructor
