ORGANISERS of a nightclub where the music stopped on the stroke of midnight have offered a free night to apologise.

Club Eclectic's bosses were left red-faced last Saturday when the sound system blew and they had to turn people away.

But the group of five friends who transformed the former Lar-de-Dars club, in Eagle Street, Accrington, have promised to give everyone free entry into the club tomorrow to compensate.

The organisers from Accrington -- Kristin Dewell, Adam McEnvoy, and Gaelle, Rob and Cath Graham -- opened the former Eclipse club on August 7 after month's of refurbishment costing £50,000.

Gaelle, 30, said: "We couldn't believe it was happening, things were starting to get off the ground and the night was getting quite busy.

"Then the sound system went and then there was silence, it was awful. We tried to get the sound back on but we couldn't. After all the hard work we'd put in and with things starting to happen we didn't need this.

"I had to go into the kitchen and wash glasses because I couldn't face anybody I was so upset. We finally got it back up and running by 5am, but we had to turn people away."
