A PRIMARY school has lost a "marvellous teacher and good friend" with the retirement of one of its teachers.
Angela Talbot retired after 15 years at Wellfield School, in Wellfield Drive, Burnley, where she taught children of all ages. She plans to use her extra free time to look after the garden at her home in Whalley and see more of her two grandsons, as well as continuing in her role as a magistrate. Christine Sharp, a nursery nurse at the school, said:"Mrs Talbot will be missed by a great many people.
"She has helped many families through all sorts of crises and her experience has been invaluable.
"She has been a marvellous teacher and good friend."
