DARWEN manager Steve Wilkes has promised to make wholesale changes in time for tomorrow's trip to Maine Road.
The first team played a friendly game against Darwen's second string in midweek in a bid to let fringe first-teamers compete for places.
And Wilkes, who this week signed experienced former Clitheroe and Rossendale goalkeeper Lee Kennedy, revealed there would be at least four fresh faces in his starting 11 for a difficult North West Counties Second Division encounter.
"The lads who have played the first nine league games and two cup games have had their chance," he said. "I can envisage four or five changes in the starting line-up tomorrow. Our goals against column isn't good enough."
