CLITHEROE need to turn their chances into goals - that's the message from manager Lee Sculpher.
The Blues boss believes his side had plenty of opportunities to beat Alsager on Tuesday night but, in the end, had to settle for a late Gary Jackson equaliser.
"We should have won the game because we dominated the first and last 20 minutes of the match," Sculpher said.
"Over the last three or four games we've created quite a lot of chances, now it's just a case of converting some.
"Obviously it would be more disappointing if we weren't creating chances at all, but we've either just missed the target or the keeper's made good saves.
"But we've been in the game long enough to know that, sooner or later, if we keep playing the way we are those goals will come.
"For the time being, it means there's extra onus on the defence while we aren't scoring. We've been solid in the main but the slightest error is being punished.
"If we keep plugging away, though, our luck will change in front of goal."
Mark Stewart and Barrie Hart are unavailable for tomorrow's home clash with Abbey Hey while Stuart Todhunter is struggling with a hamstring strain and Simon Garner is sidelined through injury.
The Jason Jones contract saga has also taken a new twist after it was decided at a board meeting that the midfielder would not be granted his request to revert back to non-contract terms.
Jones has made himself unavailable for selection this weekend but, while Sculpher hoped his return would be sooner rather than later, he said: "We've got strength in depth but it will be put to the test over the next three or four games.
"I am looking to bring in one or two new players to replace the ones we lost, but we won't be making any rash decisions."
The Clitheroe board are also biding their time in their search for a new chairman after Dave Burgess resigned from the position last week.
