I HAVE recently returned from holiday in the Isle of Man.

The horses in Douglas pull trams, which when full of people can easily be pulled by a man.

The horses work only two hours per day, the rest of their time is spent grazing. When their working days are over, a 90 acre retirement home (which is open to the public) awaits them. That is real care!

I then began to think about the landau ponies in Blackpool and wondered how long their working days are, and also what happens to them then they retire. I would be very interested to know the answers to these questions. Perhaps one of their owners could tell me!
