FOUND: the weapons of mass destruction! They were in London's dockyard recently, at the vast Arms Fair.
Every imaginable object capable of destruction on a massive scale was on display and for sale at the Defence Systems and Equipment Exhibition, where 1,000 arms companies were competing for business.
One-third of the world's governments were invited and there were great hopes of deals being struck with regimes such as Turkey and Indonesia. If pressed the arms dealers would say tanks sold to Indonesia are not used for repression; presumably then they are good for rolling out pastry!
Other governments invited were India and Pakistan and sales to these countries are obviously not done in the cause of world peace. After all, that is not what these merchants of death make their enormous profits from.
The Campaign against the Arms Trade organised protests at the event to highlight the grotesque nature of those who profit from weapons of mass destruction.
