This week, with GILL ARMER, 33, who runs the Gisburn mart cafe, where the food was recently voted UK farmers' favourite.
HOME: Back House Farm, in Newton-with-Scales near Kirkham. I lived there with my mum, dad and brother. When I was three we moved to Bolton-by-Bowland where I've lived ever since.
HOLIDAY: I went to Aire in Scotland with my family. We had a lovely time.
MEMORY: I just remember always being outside. My mum's got five sisters, so I've got lots of cousins. I remember playing games with them and riding on our bikes in the fields. We used to go to my nana's and pick the eggs out of the hens' cabin.
SCHOOL: Lane Ends Primary School, near Bolton-by-Bowland. It was tiny -- it only had 11 pupils and two teachers. It closed after a year, so then I went to Grindleton.
MEAL COOKED: I made cottage pie when I was about 12. I cooked it with my nana for the family. I always wanted to learn how to cook. My nana was a very good cook and baker. Every Sunday we would go to her house and she would be baking bread.
CAR: My first car was a blue Fiesta. I was 17 when I got it. It was very reliable.
JOB: My first job was when I went to work at Accrington Victoria Hospital on a youth training scheme. I went to college on day release. I was only there for about three months because it was such a trail to Accrington. I don't know why, but I'd always fancied catering en masse, so I went to an outside catering service in Clitheroe for 18 months. I learned a lot there, although it meant working unsociable hours and at Christmas. Then I went to Gisburne Park Private Hospital to do catering.
