I WOULD like to thank Lee Bracewell (Letters, September 23) for informing me that there was a mobile speed camera trap on the bridge over the M65 on September 15 as I can probably expect a fine myself now if they were still about at 1.30pm that day.

I totally agree with his comments and when people are complaining that it has taken police days to attend to their properties for burglaries and assaults, now we know why it takes them days to get there as they are all out with mobile speed cameras, making money instead of catching the real criminals.

I think they need reminding that there are real nasty criminals out there and other crimes that need policing, not just the motorists in the country.

M WILKINSON, Blackburn.
