THE ups and downs of life on a Colne housing estate will be put on public view todayand tomorrow as part of a regeneration project.
The Picture Perfect? exhibition features snaps taken by families on the North Valley estate when 100 disposable cameras were delivered to their homes.
Almost all of their efforts are on display, including family portraits, photos of local 'grot spots' and pictures reflecting a sense of community.
The projects was organised by the Five Wards Arts and Cultural Project, in partnership with Groundwork East Lancashire. The exhibition aims to provoke debate on the nature of future projects for the area which will change the local residents' environment.
A spokesman for the project said: "It is a statement from local people themselves, what they like and don't like about where they live."
It is at the North Valley Community Centre, Birtwistle Avenue, Vivary Bridge, from 2pm to 6pm. It will move to the Mid Pennine Gallery, in Yorke Street, Burnley, on Monday.
