A HEADTEACHER will lead by example to promote Walk to School Week.
Paul Adnitt from St James C of E Primary School, Clitheroe will walk the ten miles to work, and back, on October 6.
He said: "We're very keen to promote the idea of walking to school. It has environmental and fitness benefits and I thought I should lead by example.
He will leave his home at the top of Ramsgreave around 6am before arriving at the school, hopefully around 8.50am.
He said: "I've given myself plenty of time and may even be able to stop off for a bacon butty on the way!
"The plan is to walk straight from home and straight into assembly where the children will be waiting."
