A REPLICA of Darwen Tower made from lace is to be displayed at Darwen Library.
Jeanette Fleming, 44, of Turncroft Road, Darwen, will display her expertise in bobbin lace and tatting in a special exhibition.
Jeanette uses the ancient skill to produce various items, including jewellery, cards, coasters, mats and edgings.
Bobbin lace and tatting uses shuttles similar to those in textile weaving, but small enough to be operated manually.
Jeanette got the bobbin lace and tatting bug after attending evening classes in Blackburn 20 years ago.
She has subsequently undertaken specialist courses at Alston Hall, Longridge, and Gawthorpe Hall, Padiham.
She exhibited her work to local acclaim at Oswaldtwistle Mills last year
Jeanette's exhibition in Darwen will run from February 14 to March 5.
