THE Cliviger Challenge Steering Group held a meeting on Friday to hear the initial assessment of the community consultation exercise.
A draft copy of the report introduction was issued to each member and comments invited.
The full result and statistical analysis should be available week commencing October 6 and will be presented to the Parish Council at its next meeting on Friday October 10.
The meeting also heard a presentation from Steve Turner, of the Community Renewables Initiative, and Andrew Lloyn, of the Claren Project on the Lancashire initiative to encourage communities to consider renewable energy sources for projects in their area.
Other than wind farms, the energy source could be hydro-energy, solar power or 'biomass' wood-burning.
In each case the project belongs to the community, with a number of options for ownership arrangements.
