FIVE members of the same family have appeared before Blackburn magistrates following an incident in Longridge on September 7.
Lynn Greaves, 48, of King Street, Longridge, is charged with escaping from lawful custody and assault; Michael Francis Greaves, 22, of Fell View, Grimsargh, is charged with escaping from lawful custody and affray; Francis Greaves, 49, of Airey Houses, Cow Hill, Haighton, is charged with two offences of assault, affray and assault with intent to resist arrest; Emma Louise Greaves, also of Airey Houses is charged with affray and assault, and Ben Joseph Greaves, 16, of Airey Houses, is charged with affray and assault.
All five defendants were sent on bail to Preston Crown Court where they will appear on October 15.
