AN EAST Lancashire charity and a women's group are holding a special meeting to raise awareness about breast cancer.
UK Survivors and Blackburn with Darwen Women's Forum are holding the meeting to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
UK Survivors, set-up by Pat Counsell, of Somerset Road, Rishton, is made up of people who have suffered the effect of breast cancer somewhere in their lives.
The charity aims to reduce the numbers of women who get breast cancer by raising awareness about the importance of diet in reducing risk and by getting people to contribute 20p a day to raise funds into prevention of breast cancer.
The meeting takes place in The Old Town Hall, Blackburn, on Monday October 13 at 5.30pm.
