A LUCKLESS football team of under-12s received some special coaching by Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman to put them on a winning run.
The kids from the Fern Gore Estate, Oswaldtwistle, who make up Globe Bullough Park YFC, were also given a new strip to commemorate their special training session on Saturday afternoon.
Kwik Save awarded the prizes after choosing Bullough as the winners of its search, through the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, for a local under-12s team that worked hard but rarely got a result which matched their endeavour.
Bullough manager John Drinkwater touched judges when he told in a letter how his team toiled every Wednesday and Sunday in secondhand kits but seldom won.
The special training session took place at Highams Playing Fields, in Accrington.
