ONE of Clitheroe's best performances of the season saw them secure maximum points against fellow high flyers Mossley.
The Blues once again were forced to come from behind after conceding an early goal, but a superb team effort produced a well-deserved result.
The game was only 10 minutes old when Mossley took the lead. A long-range shot from Rob Matthews took a cruel deflection and looped over goalkeeper Kris Richens.
The Blues equalised through a sensational Gary Jackson strike on 23 minutes.
As the ball was played into him on the edge of the area he appeared to have few options available, but he didn't need any assistance as his superb first time shot was fired into the top corner of the goal.
John Paul Fagan's penalty kick on 78 minutes was eventually the difference between the two teams. Jackson was brought down inside the area and Fagan kept a cool head to slot home from the spot.
Andy Cowking's superb overhead kick prevented a late equaliser.
